Tayyibat PDF: what's actually free, and what's in the full guide

Dr Diaa Al-Awadi never wrote or published a PDF himself. Here is what is genuinely free, and what the full guide contains.

Short answer

Dr Diaa Al-Awadi never published a PDF or a book himself: his teaching was entirely spoken. What actually exists as a PDF is a free 17-page excerpt of the Sehtin guide, and in Arabic a one-page weekly table. The full guide runs to 174 pages.

Why no official PDF exists

The Egyptian physician Diaa Al-Awadi explained his system live, out loud, in front of thousands of people. He almost never wrote any of it down himself, and never prepared a document meant for printing or sharing as a PDF. Another article tells you who this doctor was. This absence of an official text is why several versions of the system circulate, sometimes contradicting each other on specific points. The same holds for PDFs carrying his name: files of a few pages, put together by listeners from what they remembered. Nobody can guarantee that these reflect what he actually taught. The same variation sometimes affects the recipes and rules reported from one source to another. The list of rules as this site presents them works as a single point of reference, rather than several competing versions. To learn more about the man behind the system, his biography is here.

What the free excerpt contains

A free 17-page excerpt is sent by email in exchange for an email address, with no payment involved. It contains the table of contents and the preface, the method the guide uses to cite its sources, and an explanation of the two-hour rule with a page on the hormones involved. For more on this specific rule, a dedicated article covers it. It also includes the system's eleven daily rules, a first look at the palette of 122 foods with a page on the foods to favor, an explanation of how the guide presents weight loss, and one complete recipe with its photo. The excerpt reads directly in the browser, on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install. This excerpt gives an accurate sense of the guide's content and tone, without reproducing all of it.

What's free on the site, without any PDF

A large part of the system is available directly on the site, without going through a PDF. The list of 122 classified foods shows what is kept and what is set aside, food by food. The 57 recipes are detailed one by one, with their ingredients. The seven-day plan organizes breakfast, lunch and dinner for a full week, and the starter guide explains what to do from the first morning. Each food on the list notes its preparation condition when relevant: cooked, peeled, or eaten in moderation. Recipes are sorted by meal, breakfast, lunch, dinner, soup or snack, and the plan alternates protein days and rest days, the same way the full guide does. These four pages are enough to apply the system day to day, with nothing to download.

What the full 174-page guide contains

The guide sold on the site goes further than the excerpt and the free pages. It brings together 79 photographed recipes, the 122 foods classified with their possible substitutions, and three chapters on type 2 diabetes, obesity and weight loss, each backed by named studies and their limits. Substitutions let you swap one food for another of the same status when it isn't available, and each chapter separates what the cited studies actually show from what they do not demonstrate. It also includes the seven-day plan and its Ramadan adaptation. The whole thing is available in five languages, including Arabic, for $19.72. It is not a free document, unlike the excerpt and the pages listed above. The full guide is here.

How to receive the excerpt

Getting the excerpt takes a single step. On the excerpt page, you enter your email address, and the 17-page PDF lands in your inbox right away, ready to open on a phone or a computer. In Arabic, the same email also brings a one-page weekly table as a separate attachment. There is no account to create and no password to remember, just an inbox to check once the address is entered.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PDF available in Arabic? Yes. The free excerpt and the full guide both exist in Arabic, as in four other languages. The one-page weekly table exists in Arabic only. Is the free excerpt enough to get started? Yes. Combined with the food list and the starter guide on the site, it gives enough to apply the basic rules from day one. Is there a printed version? The site sells the guide as a PDF. A printed edition also exists, sold outside the site.
